                                                                  Approach to Tokyo

Looks like they have irrigation in Japan!

                                                                Sunset in Tokyo

                                                          MANILA AIRPORT!
The guy who met us was in a purple shirt, no name tag, but he knew our name and said he was from the MTC.  We were so relieved to see someone that we decided to believe him!  He drove us to the MicroTel Hotel, which was on our list, and told us that we would be picked up at 730 to go do travel papers-- on Sunday.  So we dragged ourselves out of bed after a too-short sleep, showered and got dressed up, and waited, and waited, and waited....Then went back to bed, since no one answered our calls.  We got up at 11-ish and had a wonderful lunch-- chicken satay and garlic rice, also delicious mango juice. We took a taxi to the nearest LDS meetinghouse, where we attended the Quirino 2nd Ward, which meets on the third floor of a big Church Area building.   The meetings were mostly in Tagalog with random English words or sentences.  It really warmed Ron's heart to see three generations of families together at church.  There's been so much growth here since he was here as a young missionary in 1969.  We have loved talking to people here.  They are so friendly and welcoming!

                                                              The hotel restaurant

                                                                        Mmmmmmm....

Crazy traffic! and look at those power lines!

                                                         So many motorbikes!
